All Mutations in Garden Horizons

Mutations multiply your crop's base value and stack multiplicatively with each other. A single Lush Gold Shocked crop can reach 67.5× its base price. Below is every known mutation, how to trigger it, and what it's worth.

Stacking Formula

Final Price = Base Value × Ripeness × Mutation₁ × Mutation₂ × …

Example: Corn ($15) with Lush (3×) + Gold (5×) + Shocked (4.5×) = $15 × 3 × 5 × 4.5 = $1,012.50

Weather Mutations

Weather mutations are applied to growing crops when specific weather events occur. Rarer weather conditions yield higher multipliers. Some weather mutations conflict with each other — you can only have one from a conflicting pair.

Soaked

+1.2×

Rain weather

✓ Stackable ✕ Conflicts: flooded

Flooded

+1.5×

Rain weather (rarer than Soaked)

✓ Stackable ✕ Conflicts: soaked

Foggy

+1.2×

Fog weather

✓ Stackable

Chilled

+1.5×

Snowstorm weather

✓ Stackable ✕ Conflicts: snowy

Snowy

+2×

Snowstorm weather (rarer than Chilled)

✓ Stackable ✕ Conflicts: chilled

Sandy

+2.5×

Sandstorm weather

✓ Stackable

Shocked

+4.5×

Storm weather (lightning strikes)

✓ Stackable

Starstruck

+6.5×

Starfall event (very rare)

✓ Stackable

Rare / Random Mutations

These mutations occur randomly during crop growth — no specific weather required. Gold is significantly rarer than Silver, but both stack with weather mutations for massive payouts.

Silver

+2×

Random chance during growth

✓ Stackable

Gold

+5×

Random chance during growth (rarer than Silver)

✓ Stackable

Combo Mutations

Combo mutations trigger when two specific weather mutations land on the same crop. Both source mutations are consumed and replaced with the more powerful combo.

Frostbit

+3.5×

Requires Soaked + Snowy (consumes both)

Requires: soaked + snowy ✓ Stackable

Muddy

+5×

Requires Flooded + Sandy (consumes both)

Requires: flooded + sandy ✓ Stackable

Mossy

+3.5×

Requires Foggy + Chilled (consumes both)

Requires: foggy + chilled ✓ Stackable

FAQ: Mutation Stacking & Lush Multiplier

How does Lush interact with mutations? +
Lush is the peak ripeness stage with a 3× multiplier. It stacks multiplicatively with every other mutation. So a Lush + Gold crop gives you 3 × 5 = 15× base value. Always wait for Lush before harvesting to maximize profit.
Can I stack multiple weather mutations on one crop? +
Yes, as long as they don't conflict. For example, Soaked and Flooded conflict (both from Rain), so you can only have one. But Shocked (Storm) + Sandy (Sandstorm) can coexist on the same crop. If two conflicting mutations land, the newer one replaces the old.
What is the maximum possible multiplier? +
Theoretically, a Lush (3×) + Gold (5×) + Starstruck (6.5×) crop yields 3 × 5 × 6.5 = 97.5× base value. Adding more non-conflicting weather mutations pushes it even higher. In practice, getting Starstruck + Gold on the same crop is extremely rare.
Do combo mutations stack with Lush too? +
Absolutely. Combo mutations like Frostbit (3.5×) or Muddy (5×) replace their two source mutations but still stack with Lush and any other non-conflicting mutations. A Lush + Muddy + Gold crop = 3 × 5 × 5 = 75× base value.
Does harvesting early (Unripe/Ripened) affect mutations? +
No — mutations are independent of ripeness stage. However, harvesting at Unripe (1.0–1.9×) or Ripened (2.0–2.9×) instead of Lush (3×) means you lose a significant chunk of the final multiplier. Mutations still apply, but your total payout will be much lower.

Understanding Garden Horizons Mutations

Mutations are the single most important mechanic for maximizing your Shillings in Garden Horizons. Every crop can receive multiple mutations during its growth cycle, and each one multiplies the final sell price. Weather mutations are triggered by in-game weather events like Rain, Fog, Snowstorms, Sandstorms, Storms, and the rare Starfall. Rare variant mutations (Silver and Gold) occur randomly regardless of weather.

The key to profit is stacking: because multipliers are multiplicative, even modest mutations compound into huge payouts. A Lush crop with just two weather mutations can easily exceed 10× its base value. Experienced farmers keep crops growing through multiple weather cycles to accumulate as many mutations as possible before harvesting at peak Lush ripeness.

Combo mutations add another layer of strategy. When specific pairs of weather mutations land on the same crop, they fuse into a single, more powerful combo mutation. Frostbit (Soaked + Snowy), Muddy (Flooded + Sandy), and Mossy (Foggy + Chilled) each offer higher multipliers than their source mutations combined, rewarding players who plan around weather rotations.
