Soaked
Rain weather
Mutations multiply your crop's base value and stack multiplicatively with each other. A single Lush Gold Shocked crop can reach 67.5× its base price. Below is every known mutation, how to trigger it, and what it's worth.
Final Price = Base Value × Ripeness × Mutation₁ × Mutation₂ × …
Example: Corn ($15) with Lush (3×) + Gold (5×) + Shocked (4.5×) = $15 × 3 × 5 × 4.5 = $1,012.50
Weather mutations are applied to growing crops when specific weather events occur. Rarer weather conditions yield higher multipliers. Some weather mutations conflict with each other — you can only have one from a conflicting pair.
Rain weather
Rain weather (rarer than Soaked)
Fog weather
Snowstorm weather
Snowstorm weather (rarer than Chilled)
Sandstorm weather
Storm weather (lightning strikes)
Starfall event (very rare)
These mutations occur randomly during crop growth — no specific weather required. Gold is significantly rarer than Silver, but both stack with weather mutations for massive payouts.
Random chance during growth
Random chance during growth (rarer than Silver)
Combo mutations trigger when two specific weather mutations land on the same crop. Both source mutations are consumed and replaced with the more powerful combo.
Requires Soaked + Snowy (consumes both)
Requires Flooded + Sandy (consumes both)
Requires Foggy + Chilled (consumes both)
Mutations are the single most important mechanic for maximizing your Shillings in Garden Horizons. Every crop can receive multiple mutations during its growth cycle, and each one multiplies the final sell price. Weather mutations are triggered by in-game weather events like Rain, Fog, Snowstorms, Sandstorms, Storms, and the rare Starfall. Rare variant mutations (Silver and Gold) occur randomly regardless of weather.
The key to profit is stacking: because multipliers are multiplicative, even modest mutations compound into huge payouts. A Lush crop with just two weather mutations can easily exceed 10× its base value. Experienced farmers keep crops growing through multiple weather cycles to accumulate as many mutations as possible before harvesting at peak Lush ripeness.
Combo mutations add another layer of strategy. When specific pairs of weather mutations land on the same crop, they fuse into a single, more powerful combo mutation. Frostbit (Soaked + Snowy), Muddy (Flooded + Sandy), and Mossy (Foggy + Chilled) each offer higher multipliers than their source mutations combined, rewarding players who plan around weather rotations.
